The Harms family made the trek to my studio in East Peoria from Bloomington in some crazy stormy weather! What troopers! Their hair held up and the kids were a blast. They were coming up with all kinds of fun poses and ideas and it made their session even more enjoyable. I just love this hug pose with them. SO cute!!!

The Banks family updated their portraits with Blissful Images recently downtown Peoria in the warehouse district and we had such a beautiful day! The kids were cooperative and so sweet. They are beyond excited about having a new baby in the family! I just LOVE this portrait of them! How adorable are their outfits too?!?
This was SO cool to see come together from the studio session to final products. The composites are a lot of work but really rewarding! Here is the first one. Getting spacing similar between each player was tricky but I think they did a great job of staying still! We were able to get the entire group in one image in the studio. Did a few head swaps and evening of light and it was ready for extraction. Since I specialize in family portraits, this was different than usual and I really enjoyed it! Extracted image with no background. Final image with the ladies on the field and sunset in the background. This next composite was my favorite! We couldn't space everyone out as needed in one shot so we had to take 2 different images. I did some head swaps and put everyone in the same image. Here is is extracted. Coach wasn't sure what he wanted to do with it so this is how it was delivered. This was after he put a background and their sponsors with it. WOW, isn't that the coolest!?! I just love this!
The Peoria Playhouse had a really fun superheros craft and I got to document it for them in photos! Each child designed their own cape and then cut and sewed them. Some needed more adult help than others due to their age but everyone had a blast and now have awesome capes to play with at home.
Funny thing-the day after my last blog post, the Dr found that my cervix was funneling. Glad they keep such a close eye on me every 2 weeks! They put me on bedrest for an extended weekend and I went back on 4/15 for another check. They said things looked ok so I could be released from bedrest but I have to take it a little slower and easier than I have been. Avoid lifting and rest frequently. Those are some hard things for me but I am doing my best!
Spent spring break with my kiddos and we had lots of fun adventures! Elevate, Peoria Playhouse, swimming and Chuck E Cheese. Most places I could sit and watch. The swimming was nice too! Tomorrow is my next Dr appointment so hopefully things look great still! I did have the chance to do some senior portraits last week and that was a blast! The girls are best friends and we had a fantastic time. Mom even captured some awesome images of me working! How fun :-) If you follow Blissful Images on Facebook or are friends with me (Jenni Williams) then you heard the exciting news that we are expecting baby #3 in late July! Our first was a preemie so we get some extra special treatment of weekly progesterone injections and bi-weekly cervical checks to be sure I am not going into early labor again. These preventative steps got us to 39 weeks with our second and I am feeling so great and am sure we will have another full term baby. I am planning on taking off work mid-July and then returning in early October, just in time for the beautiful fall colors! Because availability will be shortened for 2019, be sure to plan early if you are wanting to have a family portrait with Blissful Images!
Emily, Drew and adorable Rhyder were recently in my East Peoria studio for their first family portrait session! How exciting! Emily told me that they had recently gotten engaged so we focused on a few of just the two of them as well as their engagement portraits. They were willing to do anything and Rhyder was in a super mood for me. I really enjoyed their family portrait session and can't wait to see how their canvas print looks on their wall. I know they will enjoy it for their entire lifetime and that's what makes my work so rewarding!
I adore Savannah. So do my little ladies. Savannah does our hair at her adorable studio in Marquette Heights right across from the school.
She got her entire family together for a portrait session and there was no place they could think better than at the cemetery so her brother's stone could be incorporated in the session. I could just tear up thinking about what a beautiful day we had and how everyone was so happy, even though I know having her brother not be able to be IN the portraits must have been so hard. We had the portrait retouched in a way that you could tell it was a cemetary but didn't have all the background stuff that is there. I LOVE how it came out! I just love Savannah and her whole family is as sweet as she is! If you need a great stylist with an amazing personality-look her up! Rosan wanted to have a professional portrait of her entire family so she undertook the daunting task of lining up schedules for her brother, dad, cousin and her dad and grandma and we had a beautiful session at the Pekin Lagoon. Their family is really close and it shows in the portraits. I love getting to work with families like this and pointing out the similarities in looks between family members. Multi-generational portraits are my favorite. I bet these portraits look so great on her wall and remind her of what's so important in life-family.
